In addition to weekly lessons, students and children in the area are welcome to attend a summer camp. Matlock Farm Summer Camp runs during specific weeks from 9:00-3:00. Camp will have just 6 campers per session for all the kids to get the most out of it. There are also many great counselors for each session. Each child is able to attend one session, unless space allows. The camp is geared towards kids of all ages who want to learn to ride and take care of horses. They will learn all aspects of horsemanship through daily riding lessons and classes in how to care for horses (feeding, grooming, first aid, etc.). On the last day of camp there is a horse show where all the campers can show their family and friends what they have learned over the week. Please note that the horse show usually lasts until 2:00ish. The price for the camp is $600 per session. If you need to drop off your camper early or pick them up late, please note that there is a $40/hour fee. Kids can come no earlier than 8:00 AM and can stay no later than 4:00 PM.

Helmet fit is VERY important. If you buy a helmet and it doesn't fit properly, I will need to have you use one of mine. Please read the following article to find out how a helmet should fit properly. "The Right Fit" as seen in 'The Equine Journal'
